Patient Excursions
USO-Metro arranges excursions to local events for wounded warriors and their families. USO-Metro provides wheelchair accessible transportation and escorts to all events to ensure patient safety.
Fliers and information can be found in the events offices at WRNMMC and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital and sign-ups are coordinated through our Hospital Services Specialist. Excursions include concerts, sporting events, live theater, shopping trips, salons and spas, VIP tours and out of town trips.
Night on the Town
Ten Wounded Warriors from WRNMMC and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital are treated monthly to a "Night on the Town". Through USO-Metro, Clyde's of Gallery Place treats the patients to a delicious dinner, followed by a fun excursion in DC. Previous nights out have included trips to Barnum and Bailey Circus, a live tapping of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and plays at the Shakespeare Theatre.
