Fundraisers
Fundraising events are our way of involving the community in the work we do.
The generous support of our sponsors and individuals enables USO-Metro to provide the programs and services that are central to our support of active duty service members and their families in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan areas.
Events include:
Annual Awards Dinner
The dinner is a patriotic, black tie affair attended by senior government and military leaders, members of Congress, as well as business and community leaders. This event is a remarkable celebration of the service and sacrifice of the U.S. Armed Forces.
NDIA Golf Outing
An annual Golf and Tennis Benefit sponsored by The National Industrial Association and held at Andrews Air Force Base.
AFCEA Golf Classic - Monday, July 26, 2010
This outing has attracted the leading defense contractors in the communications and electronic fields, as well as high-ranking members of the federal government and the military. Proceeds from the tournament support the important programs and services that USO-Metro offers to those who serve in our armed forces and their families. Services such as emergency food and housing assistance, holiday celebrations and family enrichment programs are provided through family service centers located on or near military bases, as well as at USO airport lounges at each airport in the Baltimore-Washington area.
Casino Night - Friday, October 15, 2010
Put on your best poker face and join us for an exciting night with all the flare and fun you would expect from a Las Vegas Casino. As the social fundraiser of the year, guests have the opportunity to mingle with celebrities; play the night away at the gaming tables; as well as participate in silent and live auctions.
