Firecracker 5k for the Troops Presented by Leidos

USO-Metro is excited to team up with Potomac River Running for the Firecracker 5K for the Troops presented by Leidos taking place on the 4th of July! This patriotic race is a great way for the local community to celebrate Independence Day while supporting our troops and their families! Runners of all ages can participate in the 5k race that starts and ends in Reston Town Center.

Project Cinderella

Staff Spotlight: Christine Rossini

Christine Rossini is the new Development Specialist for the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore.  She is extremely passionate about the work she does for USO-Metro and could not say enough positive things about her position and what she has enjoyed during the first month of her time with the USO.    

Operation Belvoir Babies

Operation Belvoir Babies is one of USO-Metro's most popular programs among military spouses and active duty moms and soon-to-be moms.  The event included a dirty diaper game where expecting moms had to guess which candy bar was melted into diapers.  The games also consisted of a baby food taste test and a diaper race where they put a cloth diaper on water balloons with safety pins.
