USO-Metro is excited to offer special holiday programs to bring military families together and to say thank you to our troops and their loved ones during the holiday season.
Turkeys for Troops - This holiday season, USO-Metro is honored to say thank you to local military families by providing holiday meal baskets! To learn more about this program and how to register for it please click here.
Celebration of Children - USO-Metro partners with our friends at HealthNet Federal Services to host a special holiday celebration just for military children with games, crafts, prizes, gifts, refreshments and a visit from many special guests...including Santa! I'd like to become an Elf this holiday season! - Help USO-Metro salute our littlest patriots this holiday season by becoming an Elf. Holiday Hotel - Holiday Hotel is a program that provides a free hotel stay for any 3 consecutive nights max to junior enlisted service members' families who can get to the Baltimore-Washington area during the duration of the program (December 20-30). Trees for Our Heroes - In partnership with BAE Systems, USO-Metro is excited to offer a very special holiday event for our military families! To learn more about this program and how to register for it please click here.
Operation Community Connection - An informational event geared toward all military families in the region, especially those who are in the deployment process or are new to the community. The event includes activities for all ages, refreshments and raffle prize drawings. For more information about the next Operation Community Connection click here.

Operation Game On! - Video games are incredibly popular with the troops. This program calls upon service members to form teams of five, develop a strategy and use their military knowledge to dominate in the video game world. The program also aims to get service members out of their barracks and visiting with other service members in all branches over a common interest.

Movies on The Lawn - (MOTL) is a program designed to give service members a break with free outdoor movie showings at or near military installations in the Washington-Baltimore region on our giant inflatable AIRSCREEN movie screen. Movie attendees enjoy free popcorn, drinks, and other refreshments, as well as fun summer lawn games and raffle prizes. This program is aimed at building community.
Operation Basic Boot Camp - This program aimed at helping military teens to develop pride and appreciation for the service that their military family member gives every day. Many single service members serve as volunteer mentors for this program which helps them to frame their service in a positive way.

Project Cinderella - a popular USO-Metro program providing military spouses and gals with dresses for formal occasions including make-up tips, pampering, accessories, sweets and more! Little girls have often attended this event with their mom and it's been a special day.

Operation Back to School - Operation Back to School is a one day event for kids age 5-11 to prepare them for the return to school. The day features fun activities that incorporate core subjects such as reading, math, science, history and art and 3,000 backpacks filled with a starter-kit of supplies are handed out to the participants.

Operation Belvoir Babies - Held quarterly, this baby shower provides education information and support to expectant moms. All attendees are expecting within 90 days of the event so a built-in support network among attendees as they enter this new phase of their lives is established.
