On June 17th at the Naval Support Activity Bethesda some of the Robertson family members of Duck Dynasty on A&E came to the USO Warrior and Family Center to visit with the service members. Among the Robertson family was Willie Robertson and his wife Kory along with Jep Robertson and his wife Jessica. Also attending was Washington National's Baseball player Adam LaRoche and his family.
The USO has been working with celebrities to entertain America's troops for more than 70 years.
At the USO Warrior and Family Center Jep Robertson said, "We're on a little USO Reunion tour and we went to the hospital and we're just saying hey to the troops and we're trying to give back. It's going to be hard to beat meeting those guys in there. But to me just getting to talk to them is the best part."
A solider with his service dog by his side said, "I've been working with her for a couple of weeks now. I was referred for PTSD, and so I'm over here and it helps with my symptoms to work with the dogs and spend time with them. She reacts if I start to have a stress attack or anything like that which serves to distract me. I'm getting trained on how to have a service dog and she's getting trained on how to be a service dog."
The solider enjoyed talking with the Robertson family and baseball player Adam LaRoche, along with the other service men and women. Pictures were taken and memories were made at the USO Warrior and Family Center at Naval Support Activity Bethesda.
